Yvette Narlock
Image Yvette Narlock is a graduate of San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She has enjoyed an extensive career as a performer, singer and songwriter including a 6-year contract with Atlantic Records. One of Yvette’s greatest passions is traveling and learning about other cultures. As well as numerous North American tours, she has traveled for over 5 years through Africa, Asia and Europe always with her music to share. It was music that originally connected Yvette to working with youth and she has worked extensively with troubled teens via the universal language of music. Before Yvette came to SAFETEEN, she spent 3 years working 72-hour shifts a week in an emergency shelter for narcotics addicted, sexually exploited street youth from the ages of 12 to 16 as a youth worker with the Vancouver Native Health Society,

Yvette looks at her relationship with SAFETEEN as life work. It reflects a personal inner journey about her truth, identity and empowerment. She believes that to be a healthy mentor for youth we have to choose a positive path of evolution, and then follow it inwardly and model it outwardly. As always, Yvette brings her powerful songwriting and performance skills to her work with SAFETEEN.
